Banchory birthday celebrations
Two Aberdeenshire-based businesses are pulling out all the stops to organise a very special event this Sunday at Milton of Crathes near Banchory.
Slow Living Events and Hidden Scotland Shop have joined forces to celebrate their businesses' first birthday and the end of summer with joint celebrations.
On Sunday the 28th of August, A Conscious Market will take place at the Milton of Crathes event field offering a range of free fitness classes and wellness talks as well as an eco and wellness-themed market with over 60 small businesses, e-bike trials and live music.
Organiser, Rachael Hunter has gathered together as many small businesses, therapists and teachers as possible in order to pull off a huge end-of-summer wellbeing festival.
“We wanted to ensure that our classes and inspirational talks were accessible to as many people as possible so we got together with some fantastic local businesses to make it happen. We are thrilled to be able to offer ten classes open to everyone who comes along. We charge £3 per adult at the door but after that, every class and talk is free and you can take part in as many as you like.”
Over in the shopping complex itself, Karla Hall from Hidden Scotland has also organised some exciting activities over at the shop including live art from local illustrator Laura Bremner from Juniper Press, a pop-up vintage homewares shop from interior designer and ‘treasure picker’, Pam Picks, discounts, a competition and birthday cake for customers while it lasts! Hidden Scotland also offers a range of carefully curated Scottish-made products within their shop as well as their very own travel magazine and a unique planning station which allows you to see what’s available to see, do, eat and drink in the area.
Both events start at 10am this Sunday. Entrance into the Conscious Market is £3 per adult but children and dogs are welcome for free.
