Monday 20 - Sunday 26 January

Burns Night Celebrations

Edinburgh’s The Ivy on the Square is a hosting a week of stylish Burns celebrations, with two new whisky-based cocktails and a brace of limited-edition dishes joining the menu. Specials include a twist on the famous Ivy shepherd’s pie (think haggis, neeps and tatties) and the deliciously dessert-esque Rabbie’s Coffee cocktail, an unctuous blend of Highland Park whisky, vanilla syrup, double cream and coffee. A meal the Bard would be proud of!

Thursday 23 January

Beyond Burns

Get on your dancing shoes and head to the famous Ubiquitous Chip for a chic night of celebrations. Indulge in four courses and a wee dram whilst you listen to performances of Burns’ most-loved works, and then head out on to Ashton Lane for a ceilidh on the cobbles.

Friday 24 January

Burns on the Beach

Visit Burns’ hometown of Ayr and head to the beach for an evening of unique light and sound installations, bonfires and Scottish music, on the beach that the Bard enjoyed.

Burns Supper

A traditional Burns Supper among the splendour of the Royal Yacht Britannia - this is sure to be a very special event indeed. Enjoy a delicious four-course meal, along with live musicians and a whisky tasting.

Saturday 25 January

CINE[STHESIA]

A screening of a film compilation dedicated to Robert Burns, a visual way to celebrate the land loved by our national poet.

Burns Supper

A traditional way to celebrate Burns, enjoy a four-course Burns supper with a Glen Garioch whisky cocktail, highland dancing and a ceilidh band.

Riverside Light Night

Experience the beauty of the River Tay and celebrate the Bard in a unique way, with a parade through the high street, an address to the Haggis (and free tastings), a toast to Burns, pipe band performances and of course, the spectacular light installations along the River.

Glamis Castle Burns Supper

In the surroundings of the breathtaking Glamis Castle, toast to the Bard with an elegant three-course Burns Supper and fizz, as well as a traditional ceilidh and entertainment from local speakers.
