Whether I’m heading to a gym class, meeting, or event - quite often all of them in one day or I am a little tight for time but still want to feel put together, it’s all about the slick back bun for me! It’s an effortless look that will take you from day to night no matter the weather or what’s in your diary that day. I love to give my hair a little boost in between washes with treatments such as scalp serum, leave-in conditioning masks, or adding a few drops of nourishing rosemary oil for optimum hair health.

Keeping your nails on point doesn't have to be a fuss. Stick with simple styles and colours that are easy to maintain, and treat yourself to a quick manicure whenever you have a spare moment to indulge. Surprisingly, I didn't pay much attention to nail care until after my surgery last year. Can you believe it? I went without a professional manicure for about five years! But now, I'm all about embracing the idea of living life to the fullest and that includes little acts of self-care. Don’t forget to pamper yourself with a soothing hand cream. I adore ones infused with essential oils for that extra touch of relaxation or rejuvenation. Just slather it on, cup your hands around your nose, take a moment to inhale the calming scent, and feel instantly refreshed. Seeing beautifully cared-for hands is truly a delight.

Amid the daily chaos of packing four children's lunch bags and reminding them to stay hydrated, I realised I was neglecting my own need for hydration. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of family life and forget about our own well-being. However, I've had a change of heart recently. I've started to view staying hydrated as a way to give myself a refreshing hug from the inside out—a simple yet powerful act of self-care. Now, I make sure to keep a trusty water bottle by my side, and you know what? It's become my little reward, leaving me feeling genuinely better for it. With two young daughters and a busy business, I lead a fast-paced life where sleep is less than a priority and time is limited. Eating on the run with limited sleep is the norm, and the busier things get, the more my ‘inner goddess’ will wilt. I see the relationship between sleep and nourishing food and energy levels, and as time goes on, I’m learning to prioritise both more. My bag will always contain fruit and naked bars, and I try to keep vegetables, whole grains, and protein in my diet day-to-day. On bad days, I’ll grab a meal replacement drink, like heul rather than a packet of crisps, and I never skip my supplements - collagen, magnesium, and iron, but to name a few! When I eat and sleep well, my energy levels go up, I look better, and my mindset is strong and positive.
