This festive Edinburgh pop-up is going to bestow the iconic market with a dose of cool

There’s a brand-new addition to Edinburgh’s festive offering this Christmas, with the launch of THOR’s Tipi Bar - a festive pop-up bar with a twist.

Located on the bustling rooftop of the Waverley Mall, THOR’s Tipi Bar provides a fun experience for Christmas shoppers, weary workers, visitors to the city and locals alike, in the heart of the city, boasting views over the Christmas markets, light displays and of course, the scenery that the capital is so well-known for.

THOR’s is formed of two canvas tipis, festooned with ambient lighting and decked out with wooden tables and benches, cosy furs to snuggle into, and a real fire pit, allowing customers to soak up a sense of Viking-inspired hygge during the festivities. It’s a chic spot to bring friends, family or even your four-legged friends this Christmas!

 And once you’re inside, you’ll find a unique drinks menu with a selection to please even the fussiest drinkers, including hot and cold cocktails with a Christmas twist, beers from around the world and local ales and stouts, as well as an extensive wine list. Plus, there’s a wide non-alcoholic menu, as well as festive favourites like mulled wine and hot chocolate to keep you feeling snug.
