Calling all Parks and Recreation fans: This quiz night is for you…

We have Lesley Knope to thank for our favourite (unofficial) holiday, Galentine’s Day.

Even the most hopeless of romantics is likely a bit fatigued when it comes to Valentine's Day. While we're all for celebrating love in all its glory, we can't help but feel that going for a candlelit dinner on February 14th feels a tad on the forced side, which is why we're celebrating Galentine's Day on February 13th instead.

While we don't need an excuse to get our girls together for an evening catching up over cocktails, we've happened upon probably the best way to spend time together this month. A Parks and Recreation-themed quiz night is being held at the rooftop SKYBar at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre, and we're very much here for it.

SKYBar is hosting the evening on Thursday, February 13th as a homage to Lesley Knope, the main character played by the hilarious Amy Poehler in the series Parks and Recreation, who created Galentine's Day in an episode way back in 2010 as a way for "ladies to celebrate ladies." SKYBar has since made its Galentine's Day quiz an annual affair.

Guests can test their knowledge of the show with a quiz while enjoying a complimentary Snake Juice cocktail on arrival. For an additional £5, you can feast at the 'Treat Yo' Self' waffle station. We don't know about you, but this sounds pretty much like our perfect night out.

Tickets cost £10 per person and can be purchased online here. Keep an eye out for Team Hood, as we'll be there—most likely with a Snake Juice in hand.
