Off The Rails: Glasgow’s New Sparkle-Soaked Late-Night Shopping Experience

VEGA Glasgow introduces Off The Rails, a unique late-night shopping concept blending sustainable fashion, local designers, cocktails, and music high above the city.

With the Christmas party season just around the corner, VEGA Glasgow is set to shake up the shopping scene with its exciting new event, Off The Rails. Launching on 14th November from 8pm to 11pm, this innovative shopping concept takes over VEGA’s vibrant space at the top of YOTEL Glasgow, 260 Argyle Street, blending high-energy nightlife with sustainable fashion in a festive setting.

Off The Rails brings together a curated selection of pre-loved fashion traders, local designers, and independent brands for an evening that promises both sparkle and substance. Aptly titled the ‘Sparkle Spree’, the event showcases sustainable Scottish brands like Isolated Heroes, Secondhand Wonderland, and Peachy Threads, along with accessories from Nixie The Store and Glasgow Trinkets Co., creating a one-stop shop for festive attire, unique gifts, and glittering accessories.

And it’s not just about shopping: VEGA’s signature cocktails, mouth-watering snacks, and a live DJ create an atmosphere that’s as social as it is stylish. Shoppers can also head to a transformed YOTEL room where glitter make-up artists and styling experts from Style Me Flawless will offer personalised ‘sparkle’ consultations—whether you’re drawn to gold, silver, or rose gold.

Food and Beverage Manager Euan Wilson describes Off The Rails as “a fresh way to shop” and a response to growing interest in sustainable, local shopping. “Christmas is the perfect time to launch it, as party season is fast approaching,” he says. “We’re keeping it true to VEGA with cocktails and music, making it an event to remember.”

Entry to Off The Rails is free, and attendees can sign up on Eventbrite. For those wanting to stay overnight, YOTEL Glasgow is offering rooms from £85, so you can turn your shopping spree into a memorable night in Glasgow’s lively city centre.
