A Charitable Milestone: The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo’s Generous Gesture
In a landmark gesture to mark its 75th anniversary, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will donate up to £162,000 to St Columba’s Hospice Care. This special one-off donation, amounting to 75p from every ticket sold for the 2025 Show, celebrates the Tattoo's long-standing tradition of supporting community projects.
Jason Barrett, Chief Executive of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, stated, “Our 75th Anniversary is a momentous occasion, and we are delighted to celebrate it by supporting local Edinburgh charity, St Columba’s Hospice Care and their team of loyal volunteers, dedicated staff and patients.”
Jackie Stone, CEO of St Columba’s Hospice Care, expressed gratitude: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to receive this special 75th Anniversary donation from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This donation will make a real difference in helping us provide vital care and support to patients and families across Edinburgh and the Lothians.”

Chosen by public vote, St Columba’s Hospice Care has provided nearly five decades of compassionate palliative care. This substantial donation will enable the hospice to continue its vital services, both at the hospice and within the community, ensuring support remains accessible to those in need across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Continuing a Legacy of Giving
In addition to this initiative, the Tattoo maintains its commitment to annual charitable giving, aiming to return to pre-pandemic donation levels of £1M. The upcoming 2025 Show, themed "The Heroes Who Made Us," promises to be a fitting tribute to both the Tattoo’s and the hospice’s enduring impact.
