Step into summer with Jeffreys Interiors

Edinburgh-based Jeffreys Interiors recently unveiled their new spring/summer showroom, and it’s giving us plenty of home inspo. With rich colours, interesting textures and on-trend accessories, the showroom should be your first stop if you’re planning on giving your home a seasonal update this summer.
Spread across two levels of a Georgian townhouse in Stockbridge, the award-winning Jeffreys showroom is a retail experience like no other. Rather than feeling like a shop, it’s more akin to stepping into a friend’s home (a really stylish friend, that is…), with each of the six rooms individually designed to display an eclectic mix of styles and influences curated by the in-house and design team.
Wandering through the Jeffrey's Interiors showroom, you’ll soon find yourself lost in their latest collection of treasures, taking inspiration from across the globe. Our favourite room is the snug, which has had a maximalist makeover for SS19. As well as walls adorned in fabulously over-the-top House of Hackney wallpaper and jungle-inspired accessories, you’ll find plenty of leafy plants (faux, of course, because who needs another plant death on their hands?) and a ceramic cheetah, which is the ultimate statement piece for a tropical room.
The Ibiza room takes inspiration from sunshine holidays and Mediterranean colour palettes, but with an effortlessly cool twist. The sorbet-toned walls and wicker lamps are paired with a soft and squishy modular sofa. The space has been designed with both style and practicality in mind; single-room living calls for smart, multi-functional pieces and you’ll find that here. Distinct places to eat, work, and relax are key.
Elsewhere, you can wander through the sumptuous Georgian lounge where Jeffreys have focused on colour and texture. Feel your way through velvet sofas, fuchsia hemp wall coverings, glass and metal accessories, and leather touches. Throughout the showroom, you’ll find Dr Vranjes diffusers and candles filling each room with a beautiful scent, making the whole experience very sensory and bringing the interiors to life.
The Jeffreys Interiors team believe it’s important for people to come to the showroom to get the full experience, and that’s one reason why they don’t have an online shop.
“We believe that interiors are a really immersive and tactile thing, so we want people to enjoy the experience of coming in to the showroom and touching fabrics, seeing designs close up, appreciating craftsmanship, and just having a chat in the way that you can’t do online,” explains Claire McLoughlin, Jeffreys Showroom Manager.
“Trends are great,” she adds, “but we’re here for timeless design; pieces that you love and just have to have.”
Feeling inspired by what you see in the showroom? Jeffreys have a team of six designers who work with clients to transform homes with a full interior design service. All the wallpapers and paint finishes in the showroom are available through the Jeffreys design studio, where there are full fabric and wallpapers available to browse.
