Get your sequins dusted off, the Josh Wood Root Spray out and get ready to join the great and the good of Scottish society this Sunday (28th March 2021) at the Women of Influence Awards in aid of Action for Children, as the event goes virtual for the very first time.

Like so many charities across the UK, Action for Children has been massively impacted by the pandemic and even though all its vital fundraising events have been postponed the charity continues to work tirelessly to help the lives of so many children, young people and families across Scotland.

During 2020, donations enabled Action for Children to provide essential support to families throughout the coronavirus pandemic:

They kept nearly 99% of their local services open.
They helped nearly 12,000 children, young people and families through frontline services.
They supported 320,000 parents from April 2020 onwards via the online service Parent Talk, including 8,800 one-to-one conversations.

Sunday’s virtual event, in association with TAM Asset Management and ROX Diamonds & Thrills, has a star-studded line-up including Texas, Rick Astley, Elaine C Smith, Georgia Cecile and Edward Reid, with friend of Hood, the wonderful Susie Cormack Bruce as the evening’s host.
