Spring has Sprung at Tigerlily

A ROKU Gin Japanese Garden launches at Tigerlily, George Street, Edinburgh this weekend.

Running until mid June, guests can enjoy the stunning Japanese Garden complete with cherry blossom decor and an Instagram-worthy entrance. A limited edition cocktail menu created by Joey Medrington, Bar Development Manager, boasts delicious serves such as the ’Sakura Blossom Spritz’ - Roku Gin with Cherry Blossom, Ume Plum, Yuzu & White Tea Soda topped with pink candy floss and the ‘Fuji Mountain Swizzle’ - Roku Gin with Asian Pear, Yuzu Sake and Wild Mint.

The award winning hotel, bar and restaurant has a host of spring themed events planned for throughout the season as well as a new seasonal afternoon tea.

On International Women’s Day, ladies booking lunch or dinner will be offered a free Sakura Blossom Spritz. For those of us not lucky enough to visit on Tuesday we asked the Tigerlily team to share the recipe for the delicious cocktail…you’ll need to get your mixologist hat on for this one, but trust us, it’s worth it!

Sakura Blossom Spritz

20ml Roku Gin

20ml Umeshu

10ml Tessiere cherry syrup

2ml Fee Bros cherry bitters

20ml Mother cordial

75ml Coast yuzu white tea soda

Add cubed ice to a wine glass and mix all cocktail ingredients, stirring gently to ensure everything is mixed together.

Top with pink candy floss and freeze dried cherry sprinkles.
