Introducing Nola, Dundee’s Luxe New Nightspot
After a precarious year due to the pandemic, the stunning subterranean bar and cocktail lounge, Nola, located on lower Union Street Dundee, will finally open its doors from 10pm until 2:30am this weekend.
Operated by Dundee entrepreneur Phil Donaldson of the MacMerry300 Group, Nola is set to be an incredible addition to the city - bringing opulence, imaginative drinks and warm service.
The 120-cover space will play host to Dundee’s hottest DJs, such as La Freak Records and Liam Reilly, with a top programme of talent bringing the party each night after dark, seven nights a week. The venue will also have an exciting weekend events programme with various live performances planned pre 10pm.
Nola hopes to become the top spot for stylish Dundonians to start or end their evening with luxurious late-night vibes and a warm, comfortable ambience with cosy corners that suit date nights, or long-awaited meetups with friends.
While the jewel toned velvet seating and atmospheric lighting make Nola a beautiful place to while away an evening, it’s the specially curated drinks menu featuring imaginative signature cocktails that are sure to light up guests’ social media feeds. Try the theatrical cocktails like Ailla Frizzo served in a cloud of smoke, or the Cats Pyjamas with JJ Whitley vodka, tonka bean, ginger wine guava juice and freshly-pressed citrus, presented in a ceramic cat, alongside classic drinks, craft beers and original serves.
Operations director, AJ McMenemy said:
“Nola is set to bring the boujee party to Dundee's thriving hospitality scene. With sophisticated drinks, table service and a stunning setting, we’re excited to officially launch.
“It’s been a long time coming and we’ve got an incredible programme of DJs and drinks to celebrate finally opening our doors.”
Nola Dundee opens on Friday, October 15th at 10pm.
