From Quay to Quarter
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ST JAMES QUARTER
After the huge success of the weekend’s Style event at St James Quarter, it’s the foodies time for fun! Gastronomes brace yourselves for the Edinburgh Seafood Festival in partnership with Seafood Scotland from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th October.
Celebrate Scottish fish and shellfish with a healthy helping of good food, engaging events, and expert guest speakers. And you don’t have to be a seafood specialist to have boatloads of fun – whether you’re testing the waters or diving in with both feet, you’ll find the right pop-ups, demos, talks, and tasting sessions for you.
Whether you’re interested in eating, cooking, learning, drinking, or getting creative, Scotland’s freshest foodie event will have something to get you hooked. Do you want to learn how to make sushi with the masters from Maki & Ramen? Or join an oyster and gin pairing with Oysterman and Edinburgh Gin’s Seaside Gin?
They’ve even reeled in MasterChef: The Professionals champion and culinary national treasure Gary Maclean, who’ll be in the fantastic Seafood Dome from 12noon-3pm on Sat 23rd October with his ‘Where food comes from’ Q&A session as well as live cooking demos.
Your favourite restaurants, eateries, and bars are even getting involved. At Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish Marketplace, Edinburgh’s first food hall, you’ll find more than a dozen food stalls and specialty retailers alongside three bars – and they’ll be putting on special seafood menus to celebrate.
From sea creature art creations and frutti di mare pizza making to lectures in sustainability, Scotland’s seafood scene is yours to devour at Edinburgh Seafood Festival. Clare MacDougall, Seafood Scotland’s head of trade marketing for the Middle East, North America and the UK, said, “We are honoured to be supporting Edinburgh Seafood Festival at St James Quarter – and what better way to celebrate than by giving people the chance to experience a wonderful Scottish oyster?”
Scotland’s shores produce some of the finest, freshest seafood in the world, and the Edinburgh Seafood Festival is bringing it to the city for you. So catch it while you can!
