Perfect serves with a perfect view
We’ve made to the end of another week! While we still have another couple of weeks before we can make plans to dust off our gladrags and head out we can start making plans about where we’d like to go to taste that first gin of freedom…
Offering spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle, the One Square Terrace in the five-star Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh, is set to reopen on 26 April.
To celebrate a return to meeting friends for a drink outdoors, the bar’s expert team have created an exclusive Capital G&T menu using some of the finest gins Scotland's capital has to offer. The menu features the bar’s very own One Square Gin which is made by Pickering’s at Summerhall distillery and garnished with grapefruit to offer a burst of bold, citrusy flavour, and an intensely refreshing Lind and Lime Gin which is distilled in Leith and designed to be enjoyed simply with a lime wedge and light tonic.
All gins on the Capital G&T menu are priced at just £6 each which can be savoured as you relax and take in the iconic Castle views from the comfort of the Terrace.
But as the 26th is still a squeeze of lime away we asked the bar team from the One Square Terrace to hit us up with a tasty gin cocktail we can make at home in the meantime.
The Clover Club cocktail, is fruity, refreshing and perfect for enjoying on a warm day outdoors (or wrapped in a blanket, in your puffa coat with a fire pit on…)
Ingredients
50ml Gin of your choice
10ml Lemon Juice
5ml Grenadine
10ml Sweet Vermouth
Fresh Blackberries
1 egg white
Blackberry to garnish
Method
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and dry-shake for 30 seconds. Then, add half a cup of ice and shake again until cold. Fine strain into a chilled glass, garnish and enjoy.
