Autumn Feast Night: Ballintaggart Farm & Isle of Harris Distillery Unite for a Seasonal Celebration
This November, two of Scotland’s finest brands, Ballintaggart Farm and Isle of Harris Distillery, are set to create an unforgettable evening of autumnal indulgence. Taking place on Friday, 1st November, at the heart of picturesque Perthshire, this exclusive Autumn Feast Night promises a culinary journey blending Ballintaggart’s farm-to-table ethos with the celebrated spirits of Isle of Harris Distillery. Expect an immersive experience where seasonal Scottish produce meets world-class gin and whisky, crafted with care in the Outer Hebrides.
A Celebration of Land and Sea
The partnership between Ballintaggart and Isle of Harris Distillery embodies the shared passion for Scotland’s rich natural larder. With a focus on sustainable, locally sourced ingredients, the event will be a lively celebration of food, drink, and the unique flavours of late autumn. Guests will savour three exquisite courses, each paired with a signature Isle of Harris Gin or The Hearach Single Malt Whisky serve.
Ballintaggart, known for its luxury culinary retreats and expert Cook School, will showcase the finest Scottish ingredients, while Isle of Harris Distillery brings its award-winning spirits to the table. This event is not just about exceptional food and drink—it’s an evening of storytelling, as chefs and distillery experts introduce each course and pairing, bringing the magic of Scotland’s land and sea to life.
The Menu: A Feast to Remember
The evening kicks off with Ballintaggart’s signature freshly baked sourdough, whipped butter, Perello olives, and Great Glen charcuterie, paired with an Isle of Harris Gin & Tonic—infused with Sugar Kelp Water and garnished with pink grapefruit.
A starter of Isle of Lewis mussels with fennel, Goan curry, and a seaweed scone will follow, offering a burst of oceanic flavour perfectly complemented by a refreshing gin cocktail.
For the main course, the rich, gamey taste of venison loin will be paired with an “Island Orchard” highball—Isle of Harris Gin, pear Cognac, and cloudy apple—highlighting the sweet orchard fruits of the season.
The feast concludes with a decadent dessert of caramel rice pudding, ginger shortbread, and burnt orange, matched with The Hearach Old Fashioned. As the evening draws to a close, guests will gather around a fire pit to toast marshmallows under the stars, whisky in hand.
An Evening of Elegance and Flavour
This curated event promises an experience like no other, with Ballintaggart’s Executive Chef, Chris Rowley, showcasing the best of Scottish produce, while Isle of Harris Distillery brings its award-winning craftsmanship to the table. “We’re excited to partner with Isle of Harris Distillery to bring these exceptional flavours to life. The menu is designed to reflect the best of Scotland’s natural larder—from Perthshire to the Outer Hebrides,” says Rowley.
