Clean Bandit To Appear at Scotland’s Newest Family-friendly Festival, OUT EAST
Pack Your Rucksacks. It’s Time to Head OUT EAST with a new family friendly festival for Summer 2021.
OUT EAST is a fun-loving festival for the “carefree, the intrepid and the brave.” Landing in a socially distanced Gosford House, near Longniddry, East Lothian this August. The festival will offer a “glorious blend of music, arts and culture, wellbeing, incredible food and open-air dancing.”
Located in the grounds of the mansion in East Lothian, OUT EAST will make a welcome addition to the summer scene - particularly after the year we’ve had.
The first headline act is Ministry of Sound, a 34 piece orchestra that will perform iconic dance classics, completely rearranged and reinterpreted for 2021. The very best tunes will be recreated in a breathtaking orchestral performance, set in front of the neoclassical Gosford House.
The second act, announced today, is Clean Bandit who will perform a DJ set. Clean Bandit have consistently pushed the boundaries of modern pop with their diverse blend of influences. ‘Rather Be’, ‘Rockabye’ and ‘Symphony’ are just some of the multi-million selling hits that have seen them secure 9 top five singles in the last six years. They have collaborated with artists including Jess Glynn and Sean Paul, and Julia Michaels on their most recent track ‘I Miss You.’
As well as leading names from the music scene, the festival will offer a selection of culture and wellbeing experiences too. Having heard the Rogue Village team are also involved we should expect a seriously impressive local food and drink offering across the weekend.

Edinburgh-based, Festival Director, Shane Grieve said, ‘We wanted to create something that was a celebration of good times. We’ve sourced a mix of live performances and entertainment to make sure that there’s something special for every member of the family.
‘It is also extremely important to us that we look out for each other so we have launched a Friendship policy. We want everyone that visits OUT EAST to have the best time - but not at the expense of others. There will, of course, be official security at the festival but we’re asking everyone to take responsibility for their behaviour and to look out for each other. If someone can’t get home, are lost or are feeling vulnerable then we ask you to help us keep them safe. Find a security guard, offer them a smile - let’s have lots of fun and let’s do it together.’
