The team behind Ox & Finch announce plans for second restaurant
We’ve got some exciting news for the foodies out there - the team behind much-loved Finnieston restaurant, Ox & Finch, has announced plans to launch its second restaurant in 2020.
Ka Pao will be opening its doors in January 2020, located within the historic, Category A-listed Botanic Gardens Garage, on Glasgow’s Vinicombe Street.
Housed in the basement of the beautifully-tiled West End landmark, Ka Pao will offer a menu influenced by South East Asia, but using local produce and developed in the unique style that has made Ox & Finch such a huge success. Whilst the menu is yet to be announced, the restaurant team have hinted that it will include dishes such as ‘messy prawns’, squash and potato curry, and slow-cooked pork cheeks, with shiitake mushrooms.
Keen diners on the Glasgow foodie scene may have already had a chance to try out some of Ka Pao’s dishes, as the team took on a residency at SWG3’s Acid Bar in 2018, as well as hosting several pop-up dinners to trial the concept.
The bookings system will launch in early January, so keep an eye out for this one - we’re sure that Ka Pao is going to be very popular!
