While we do love a beautifully wrapped gift (or two) for our family the festive season is all about magical, memory-making experiences. This year we are packing our calendar tight with exactly those, as this Christmas feels like one worth celebrating.

We already have many cherished memories of time spent at the iconic Prestonfield House hotel and this Christmas we’ll mark the end of term there and officially kick off the festivities with a family afternoon tea. If you haven’t yet been, Prestonfield is straight out of a fairytale.

We’ll perch by one of the roaring fires and drink in the surroundings while tucking into Christmas-themed delights such as apricot stuffing in blankets, free-range Kelly Bronze turkey sandwiches with crispy bacon mayonnaise and cranberry, snowflake cocktail macaroons, homemade fruit and plain scones, and mince pies. For added indulgence we, over 18s, will sip on a glass of Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve Champagne as well as a range of Prestonfield’s own blend loose leaf teas and coffee. There is also a fully vegan afternoon tea menu available too so everyone can enjoy.

With its attentive staff, incredible Christmas decor, stunning grounds and deliciously prepared menu, the Festive Afternoon Tea at Prestonfield is a real treat for both the taste buds and the eyes and we can’t wait!

Afternoon tea is served Sunday to Thursday from 12-7pm, or Friday and Saturday 12-4pm. Pre-booking is advised. Traditional afternoon tea is priced at £40 per person, with Champagne afternoon tea priced at £50.
