Brunch Lovers, Rejoice! Pantry Opens in Bruntsfield with Free Breakfasts
If you’re serious about brunch, you’ll know that Pantry has long been one of Edinburgh’s most beloved spots for a leisurely morning feast. Now, the Stockbridge favourite is bringing its legendary brunch game to Bruntsfield, opening its doors at 1 Merchiston Place—and to celebrate, they’re giving away 50 free breakfasts over two days (Wednesday, 2 April and Thursday, 3 April). Set your alarms and get ready to queue!
Pantry has been a go-to for food lovers since 2012, famous for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients and crowd-pleasing dishes. Their viral Pantry Waffles—piled high with homemade Belgian waffles, blueberry compote, fresh blueberries, and drizzled with 100% Canadian maple syrup—are the stuff of Instagram dreams. And let’s not forget the indulgent Pantry Fry, a next-level full Scottish featuring posh pork sausages, streaky smoked bacon, Stornoway black pudding, Campbell’s prime haggis, and all the trimmings.
Co-owner Peter Borgen-Nielsen says Bruntsfield has been on their radar for a while: “Bruntsfield is a neighbourhood that values great food, a warm atmosphere, and community spirit. We’re incredibly excited to bring Pantry’s signature dishes to the area, and what better way to celebrate than by treating 50 customers to a delicious breakfast?”
The new location promises the same mix of comforting classics and seasonal ingredients that made the original such a hit. Whether you’re in for a long, lazy brunch or just grabbing a coffee and something delicious on the go, Pantry Bruntsfield is set to become your new favourite spot.
Mark your calendars and get ready to welcome Edinburgh’s latest must-visit brunch destination!
