Thirsty Thursday? Pear & Cucumber Cocktail Recipe

Who is enjoying this last burst of sunshine? We think a thirsty Thursday is the perfect time to enjoy a cheeky cocktail and with pears in season why not try a ridiculously refreshing, Pear & Cucumber Cooler. We like Fidra Gin for this one, a Scottish gin run by women in North Berwick (what’s not to love). Gin goes famously well with cucumber, and it’s also a great match for pear, one of our favourite fruits and seriously underrated on the cocktail front. Fancy trying it for yourself? Here’s how to do it…

INGREDIENTS

25ml Fidra Gin

25ml pear liqueur

15ml sugar syrup

25ml lime juice

Cucumber slices

METHOD

1. Add a few cucumber slices to a cocktail shaker and muddle with a bar spoon.

2. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice, and top with Fidra Gin, pear liqueur (we love Xante Pear Liqueur), sugar syrup and lime juice.

3. Shake well then strain into a tall glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
